Project Guatemala serves poor children living in or near one of Guatemala City's main garbage dumps. David Alvarez and his staff of volunteers provide breakfast and education to these children trying to break the circle of poverty and gang activities. David also helps rebuild houses in rural parts of Guatemala affected by the destructions of the hurricane that hit the country in 2005.
